Clare’s Preserves is a small artisan preserves producer, based in the foothills of Dartmoor, Devon. Clare makes all of the preserves herself, using traditional open pot methods.

Making a Purchase
In order to purchase a product, simply browse through the online shopping facility. Click on the ‘Add To Cart’ icon next to your chosen product and the item will be put in your shopping basket (a running total is visible on the top right of the online shop). Once you have finish shopping, click on the shopping cart to checkout, or press “Go to checkout”. The products and total purchase price, including postage and packing costs, will appear and invite you to complete your payment and add delivery details. All items shown on the website are subject to availability. In the event of any items not being available we will contact you to review your order.
Making a Payment
Pay by Paypal
All prices quoted are in £ British Pounds (sterling). We accept credit/debit cards, which are processed by PayPal via a secure on-line encrypted payment system, and accept credit or debit cards from MasterCard and Visa.
Payment by Bank Transfer
Make your payment directly into our bank account using BACS. Please use your Order ID as the payment reference. Your order won’t be shipped until the funds have cleared in our account.
Payment by Cheque
When checking out you can select to pay by cheque. Please send your cheque made payable to ‘Clare’s Preserves’ and post to:

Please write your order number on the back of the cheque! Your order won’t be shipped until the funds have cleared in my account. If you wish to collect your order from our Bovey Tracey HQ then funds will need to have cleared first and a pick up day and time pre arranged.
We can deliver items anywhere in Mainland UK. Delivery outside the UK Mainland is possible, please contact us for a quote.
Delivery of goods is made once full payment is made through PayPal. Delivery will be via Royal Mail Signed For / Parcel Force, which should be with you within 2 – 3 working days.
We don’t deliver to Post Office (P.O.) boxes or shipping agent addresses.
Please ensure that you provide accurate contact or delivery details to ensure timely delivery. We do not accept liability for any failed or late deliveries due to incorrect address details.
Delivery is between the hours of 8am and 6pm, we are unable to confirm a time. The delivery date will be agreed and confirmed with you and a signed acknowledgement of receipt will be required. If a receipt cannot be obtained, a card will be left with a contact number for you to collect the goods from a local Royal Mail Post Office.
The goods will be held by the local Royal Mail Post Office for a maximum of sixteen days.
Parcels up to 2kgs are sent using Royal Mail Signed For 2nd class service. Cost is £3.95
Parcels over 2kgs and up to maximum 30kgs are sent using Parcelforces Express 48 service, which states delivery by close of business in 2 working days. Cost is £7.25.
This service excludes the following destinations: The Highlands & Islands of Scotland and Northern Ireland, Isle of Man and Isles of Scilly & non UK addresses. Please contact us by email to order.
We aim to process all orders within 24 hours of ordering. If this is not possible we will contact you.
Collection of Orders from Bovey Tracey
Free local pickup is also available from Clare’s HQ by prior arrangement, after receiving your order I will be in touch to make arrangements for this.
Cancellations, Returns, Refunds
If you change your mind about the product you may cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the items under the Distance Selling Directive. Products can only be returned if they are unopened and undamaged. Please note that in this case you will need to pay the return delivery charge however we will refund you the full amount that you have paid for the product including the original delivery charge. Unfortunately we cannot accept proof of postage as proof of receipt for the goods and the refund will be only issued if the products are received by us and are in a good condition.
Whereas every effort is made to supply high quality goods as shown, if the goods arrive damaged or are different to your order, we will send you a replacement or a refund for the full amount including the original delivery charge. For any claim to be accepted, Clare’s Preserves must be notified within 3 days of receiving the items on 01626 834696 or email@example.com. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
Your statutory rights remain unaffected by these terms and conditions.
At Clare’s Preserves we are committed to protecting your privacy and security. We will only use the information that we collect about you to process your order and to provide you with the best possible online service. Clare’s Preserves will not disclose customer information to third parties.
Our terms and conditions are governed by English law, irrespective of where you are based.
